Accessibility Statement
Someone looking for plumbing help is usually in a hurry and often on a phone. This site is built so that finding information and submitting a request works without friction, including for people using a keyboard, a screen reader, or magnification.
What is in place
- Semantic headings, landmarks and lists so page structure is announced correctly
- A skip link to jump straight to the main content of every page
- Visible keyboard focus outlines on every link, button and form control
- Form fields with associated labels, error messages tied to their inputs, and no reliance on placeholder text alone
- FAQ answers rendered as readable text, so no interaction is needed to read them
- Descriptive alternative text on photographs and diagrams
- Text and interface colors chosen for contrast against their backgrounds
- Layouts that reflow to narrow screens and remain usable when text is enlarged
- Minimal motion, with no auto-playing or flashing content
- A phone number available as a link on every page, for anyone who would rather speak than type
Ongoing work
Accessibility is treated as maintenance rather than a one-time task. Pages are reviewed as content is added, and known issues are corrected as they are found. Third-party embedded content, such as a map, may not fully match these standards; the exact address is always published as text as well, so no information is available only inside an embed.
Standard being followed
The site aims to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a practical target.
